libRocket - The HTML/CSS User Interface Library for metal and vulkan
September 28, 2026libRocket is one of the first OpenGL ui that I consider basing my projects on back in the days. I never new before screen tearing and frame buffer resize but now that I am aware of the performance of this graphics user interface on top of metal and vulkan on macOS is extremely impressive.
First of it is not a regular image file or vector based ui it is an HTML and CSS file UI having this in mind you would think that it would consume large amounts of memory, a bottle neck to the cpu and a low frame rate.
With LLMs you can customize the ui extensively. you can also use rml, external fonts, images to design the whole user experience.
You can change many UI components and you can build one with the power of html and css. It is also interactive.
You could potentially use it for game projects or custom app.
Even the app that I built this month was able to be ported to libRocket mockup without the functionality of the app but delivers close to the user experience.
So if you are thinking of a new UI for games or for your application that is fast, easily customizeable and vibe coding friendly, I suggest using libRocket. I would definitely use this on my next project.
Thanks for browsing and there are more to come. By the way, I uploaded the libRocket codebase on my github page you should see it there
